Where in WDW? Challenge 42

Once again it is time to reveal where our Where in WDW? photo from last week was taken ...

As (at least) one person has guessed ... this is in the outdoor seating area of the Yak and Yeti counter service restaurant.

Which brings us to the 42nd time you have been asked ... Where in WDW? would you find ...

As always, make your guess in the COMMENTS section below and then stop back next week to see if you know Where in WDW?

Where in WDW? Challenge 41

Last time we asked you Where in WDW is this ...

And the answer is that this is inside the Animation Academy in the Animation building at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Have you been here? What did you draw? This was my result from the class pictured above.

So now it is time to ask, once again - Where in WDW? would you find this?

As always, make your guesses in the COMMENTS section below and then check back next week to see if you are correct.

Where in WDW? Challenge 40

As we reach our 40th challenge in this series, let's first take care of some business and answer last week's question ... Where in WDW? would you find this ...

As difficult as this is - many of you have looked at this picture many times in your trips to WDW ... at least of you were on the Carousel of Progress. (Look above the refrigerator.)

Now for the 40th challenge - I'll give you all a break while I ask Where in WDW? is this ...

As always, place your guess in the COMMENTS below and then check back next week to see if you are right.

The Enchanted Tiki Room

Today we will have a look at one of the most classic - yet often maligned - attractions in Walt Disney World ... The Enchanted Tiki Room.

Originally part of a concept for a South Pacific themed restaurant in Disneyland, it was eventually given its own complete attraction and in 1963 became the first audioanimatronic show in Disneyland.

When Walt Disney World opened in October, 1971, it appeared there as well although it was known as the Tropical Serenade, sponsored by the Florida Orange Growers Association.

Although for a time starting in 1998 it was taken over by the likes of Iago and Zazu (who had apparently purchased the attraction) and operated under the name of The Enchanted Tiki Room (Under New Management).  As much as many of us lamented the change, it was necessary as people were no longer coming to see the original show as they had in the past, and performances were always punctuated with guests getting up and leaving in the middle of the performance.

For good or bad, in January, 2011 a small fire broke out in the attraction, and when it reopened in August of that year, most of the original attraction had been restored - evicting Iago, Zazu and company - and it reopened as Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room once again.

And my favorites ...

Where in WDW? Challenge 39

Yes indeed - it is that time again to ask Where in WDW?

Last week you were asked about this ...

You will find this frieze on the archway leading to the Animation Courtyard in Disney's Hollywood Studios. (Unfortunately it is being hidden in this shot, but it is on the bottom portion of the left archway.)

Did you have it right? Well, here is your chance to guess again ... Where in WDW? would you find this?
