Wordless Wednesday - Resorts & Relaxation

Focused on the Magic
This week's Wordless Wednesday's theme  is Resorts & Relaxation. The photos go back to August, 2011 and the day before my daughter's wedding. Breakfast was at Cape May Café at the Beach Club Resort. Then while the women were having Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian, my son and I relaxed with my grandtwins in The Magic Kingdom (as well as one can relax with twin 2 year olds!)

  1. Wow, twin 2-year-olds! They're so adorable - I can't imagine them EVER causing trouble ;-) What great memories. Thanks for sharing them with us this week!

    1. They were actually about a month & a half short of their second birthday at that point. This was their second trip to WDW. They are ready to go back. :-)

  2. They are adorable and I was going to say the same thing - they don't look like they would ever cause anyone a speck of trouble! :)

    1. Generally they are quite well behaved - at least for Grandpa & Grandma. ;-)

  3. Looks like they had a great time. And I love the Mickey Waffles just as much as they do.

  4. I wish I had a Mickey waffle this morning!! My husband and I are leaving the kiddos at home in October and headed to the world - we are having breakfast at Cape May on our last day :-)

    1. Breakfast at Cape May was fun - the whole gang came to visit. The first time the boys were at WDW, they did Pooh and Friends. Enjoy your breakfast when you are there.

  5. Your idea of relaxing is the day before your daughters wedding at Disney World with two year old twins? You should be handling bomb disposal in Afghanistan or something because you are obviously the world's most relaxed person. I'm very envious. Was the wedding at the resort itself?

    1. I do have to admit that it is a lot easier when their dad is with me. The boys enjoy the attractions, and I am amazed at how well they wait in line to get on.

Yes, the wedding was at The Boardwalk ...

  6. I have to give their parents a lot of credit. While just wrangling two 2 year olds is a chore in itself, they are a lot easier than many of the the kids I see when I visit WDW. LOL!

    1. Thanks, and this was our first breakfast at Cape May. Was convenient as we were staying at The Boardwalk this trip.

  9. Oh my goodness- look at those cheeks! I too think that Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian would be the PERFECT pre-wedding activity. What a wonderful memory you must have!

    1. My wife liked it so much that she and I did it again later in the trip (which was extended by 4 days when we got stranded in WDW). We went back the next trip down as well.

  10. Wow, grandpa... those are some adorable twin grandsons you've got there! Good job guys, taking on that "relaxing" task so the girls could go play!! I'm impressed :)

    1. I probably relaxed more than my son, as I got to the MK long before he did. I did a few things there and then found a rocking chair on the porch of what is now called the theater, and sat, people watched and truly relaxed while waiting for him to arrive.
