  2. Great photos! And really, birds are such a big part of the Disney experience. We love seeing the mommy ducks and ducklings that always seem to be around the world showcase.

And I love your picture from the Flights of Wonder as the guests duck as the hawk heads right for them!

    1. They are, and not just those that are on display. I have taken many of native birds who have made WDW their home - the egret closeup was taken just outside of Hester & Chester's. (We won't mention the seagulls and french fries at Casey's!)

    1. I do enjoy the Flights of Wonder show and the challenge of getting just the right shot at just the right time. Of course, for the hawk (or in this case, owl) flying to its perch above the guests heads, I have more that didn't work than those that did.

    1. More and more I am trying to photograph the birds. These were all taken in DAK, but I have many all around the property.

    1. I do too, and I am lucky to have gotten it. Was taken from the back of a safari truck (BUMPY!) with a long lens, so more are unusable than are good. This was one of the good ones. :-)

  9. Great photos - love the pelicans! I've never seen the Flights of Wonder show but I'm pretty sure that I'd be ducking with a big owl flying at my head too!

  10. Hard to believe that you could get that Pelican shot from the back of a safari truck. That ride can be so rough sometimes. Great shot!

    1. The driver may have slowed down or stopped at that spot. There was a lot of traffic and we were lucky to have a bit of stop and go.

    1. I particularly like the one of the parrot who decided to take a break during the show and perched up on the wall until he decided to come back. :-)
