Great photos! And really, birds are such a big part of the Disney experience. We love seeing the mommy ducks and ducklings that always seem to be around the world showcase.
And I love your picture from the Flights of Wonder as the guests duck as the hawk heads right for them!
They are, and not just those that are on display. I have taken many of native birds who have made WDW their home - the egret closeup was taken just outside of Hester & Chester's. (We won't mention the seagulls and french fries at Casey's!)
What wonderful bird shots! I love this collection, especially the Flights of Wonder pictures. Thanks for sharing and for linking up to the Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop:)
I do enjoy the Flights of Wonder show and the challenge of getting just the right shot at just the right time. Of course, for the hawk (or in this case, owl) flying to its perch above the guests heads, I have more that didn't work than those that did.
I do too, and I am lucky to have gotten it. Was taken from the back of a safari truck (BUMPY!) with a long lens, so more are unusable than are good. This was one of the good ones. :-)
Great photos - love the pelicans! I've never seen the Flights of Wonder show but I'm pretty sure that I'd be ducking with a big owl flying at my head too!
Beautiful photos! I love the pelican with the 'wig'!!
ReplyDeleteThanks ... hehe I hadn't really noticed the "wig". :-)

DeleteGREAT shots!! I truly enjoy spending time watching the birds at Disney.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much to see - not all of it is what most people pay attention to.
DeleteWhat Beautiful Birds, in keeping with the B theme. Wonderful shots, thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteMore and more I am trying to photograph the birds. These were all taken in DAK, but I have many all around the property.
DeleteThere really are some amazing birds to be seen at Disney World. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteYes there are, and not only those that are part of shows or displays.
DeleteTHESE are the kind of photos I have a passion for!! I so love nature photography. Love, love, love it.
ReplyDeleteNature photography is what I enjoy the most. I think you already know it, but the URL of the photo blog is http://imagegatherer.wordpress.com/

ReplyDeleteIf you get a chance I would highly reccomendation Flights of Wonder. It really is a fun show - especially if you like birds.
DeleteHard to believe that you could get that Pelican shot from the back of a safari truck. That ride can be so rough sometimes. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteThe driver may have slowed down or stopped at that spot. There was a lot of traffic and we were lucky to have a bit of stop and go.
DeleteBEAUTIFUL! I love Flights of Wonder- (the human variety are pretty cool too)!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Flights of Wonder is a great break in the day.
DeleteI love birds and this is a great collection of gorgeous pictures. Love the eagle and pelican ones.
ReplyDeleteThey are among my favorites as well.
DeleteGreat pictures! I love the Flights of Wonder photos. Thanks for sharing these :)
ReplyDeleteI particularly like the one of the parrot who decided to take a break during the show and perched up on the wall until he decided to come back. :-)
DeleteTheme parks with unique ideas always have been an attraction to me and my younger sister. We do visit Paultons Breaks. Its a big hit.
